Career Timeline Visualizer

Your work history as a picture, built from your own dates.

  • Deterministic — the same document always gives the same result
  • Every finding quotes the line of your resume that triggered it
  • Parsed in memory and discarded. Never stored, never trained on

Deterministic analysis. Nothing is uploaded to a model, and your document is not stored.

What this tool gives you

  • A proportional bar for every employment range found
  • Gaps rendered in place, so they are visible rather than inferred
  • Overlapping roles shown as overlapping
  • Total evidenced tenure, average tenure and employment density

How it works

  1. Add your resume

Upload a PDF or DOCX resume, or paste the text directly. Nothing is stored — the analysis runs on the document you submit and the file is discarded.

  2. The engine analyses it

A deterministic engine reads the document and extracts the facts — structure, skills, dates, evidence. No language model is involved, so the same document always produces the same result.

  3. Read the evidence behind every result

You get the findings with the reasoning attached: what was found, where it was found in the document, and what to change. No score arrives without an explanation.

Dates in a list are hard to reason about; the same dates drawn to scale are immediate. A two-year gap you had stopped noticing becomes a two-year hole in the middle of the picture, and a pattern of eleven-month stays becomes a row of short bars you can see from across the room.

That is the whole purpose here. Recruiters build this picture in their heads within seconds of opening your resume, and they are usually better at it than candidates expect. Seeing it yourself is the fastest way to know what your history communicates.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a role missing from the timeline?
Because no date range could be parsed for it. Either the role has no dates, or they are written in a format the parser could not read. Both are worth fixing — an undated role is invisible to every automated system, not just this one.
What does the visualiser count as a gap?
Any period of two months or more between the end of one parsed role and the start of the next. Short gaps between jobs are normal and are shown without comment; the tool reports rather than judges.
Can I download or share the timeline?
The timeline is rendered in the page, so a screenshot works and nothing is stored on our side. Inside the HireSagar platform the same timeline forms part of the exportable candidate report.
