Resume Contact Validator

The most expensive resume mistake is being impossible to contact.

  • Deterministic — the same document always gives the same result
  • Every finding quotes the line of your resume that triggered it
  • Parsed in memory and discarded. Never stored, never trained on

Deterministic analysis. Nothing is uploaded to a model, and your document is not stored.

What this tool gives you

  • Every contact field extracted, exactly as a parser sees it
  • Email format validation against what parsers accept
  • Detection of phone numbers with too few digits to dial
  • "LinkedIn" mentioned without a usable profile URL

How it works

  1. Add your resume

Upload a PDF or DOCX resume, or paste the text directly. Nothing is stored — the analysis runs on the document you submit and the file is discarded.

  2. The engine analyses it

A deterministic engine reads the document and extracts the facts — structure, skills, dates, evidence. No language model is involved, so the same document always produces the same result.

  3. Read the evidence behind every result

You get the findings with the reasoning attached: what was found, where it was found in the document, and what to change. No score arrives without an explanation.

This is the smallest category of problem and the most costly one. A resume that clears every screen and then cannot be replied to has failed completely, and the candidate never finds out why. The failure modes are mundane: a phone number missing a digit, an email address wrapped in punctuation a parser chokes on, the word "LinkedIn" with no address after it.

The validator checks what is present as well as what is absent. A malformed email is worse than a missing one, because it looks fine to you and fails silently in the system that matters.

Frequently asked questions

What contact details should a resume include?
Full name, email, phone with country code, and city and country. A LinkedIn profile URL is close to expected in most markets. Full street addresses are no longer conventional and are best omitted.
Does my email address matter?
Its format does, absolutely — a parser that cannot extract it leaves your application with no reply-to address. A free provider like Gmail is completely fine and always has been. What hurts is an address that reads informally, since it appears next to your name in every interview invitation.
Should I write my phone number with a country code?
Yes. It removes ambiguity, it is required for international recruiters to dial at all, and it makes the number unmistakable to a parser looking for one.
Why does it say my LinkedIn URL was not found when I mentioned LinkedIn?
Because "LinkedIn: available on request", or the bare word with no address, gives a reader nothing to open. Write the full profile URL in plain text — linkedin.com/in/your-handle — rather than relying on a hyperlink behind a word, which is stripped during extraction.
